As the new Chairs for EmAGN ACT, we have the goal of engaging with new and upcoming architects in the ACT to ensure we continue to have an active support network within the profession. EmAGN runs a range of events specific to emerging architects and graduates including: networking opportunities, talks and presentations, workshops and tours. We are passionate about inspiring young professionals and giving opportunity to graduates by exposing them to more of the city’s architecture, built form and design professionals. To that end, we have in planning several building tours of both modernist and contemporary architecture in an attempt to encourage interaction with the rich design culture here in Canberra. We are currently in discussions with the ACT Chapter to find ways in which we can provide greater benefits to EmAGN members and in doing so, foster younger member engagement with the Institute at a broader level. If you, or someone you know, is a graduate of architecture, working professional or early career architect, please connect with us at EmAGN ACT.

Recent changes in SONA mean we can now welcome all Built Environment students in the territory, especially from other institutions to engage with our events and competitions. If you are from another institution and would like to get more involved and bring SONA to your studio get in touch with Courtney through the social media links.
