Architecture resources

Welcome to the Architecture resources page, where you can find links to a range of practical architectural resources and sites that assist with teaching and communicating architectural principles.

Practice resources

The BIM/IPD website offers practitioners in the Australian building industry an interface for receiving and exchanging information about building information modelling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD). The website contains support material and links to a variety of BIM and IPD related topics that may be useful for your practice.

Education resources

The Institute has prepared a Becoming an Architect brochure for secondary school students with information on careers in architecture. See also the Australian Government Job Outlook site, and this article by the NSW Architects Registration Board: What does an architect do?

The 'Architecture and Children' project delivers information for primary and secondary schools on the human-made environment. The Your House teacher resource kit, produced for the 'Architecture and Children' project, introduces the main issues affecting the built environment through studies of familiar surroundings – the home, the neighbourhood and the school. The kit is aimed at the key learning areas of science and technology, health and physical education and society and environment.

The NSW Architects Registration Board provides Education Resources for primary, secondary and tertiary students.
